After a one year hiatus, the Association of Bridal Consultants Northwest Regional Conference returned, and the event was a success for those who made the trip.

The conference was held at the beautiful Embassy Suites Portland Airport, and centered around the Expanding Horizons: Networking and Etiquette Revival class created and delivered by Master Bridal Consultant Sandra Monahan, owner of Weddings Without Worries, who traveled all the way from Wexford, PA.

The Networking and Etiquette Revival class was very comprehensive, and although my etiquette is pretty polished, I learned a handful of additional etiquette to put to good use. Now I know what to do with that bread basket sitting in front of me at the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce Business Lunches!

I want to give special recognition to Carna Lapping, owner and event planner at Very Important Events, who put the advice given in the Expanding Horizons material to good use, and sent me a warm, handwritten note following our return back to Seattle.

I had a great time in Portland, and am already looking forward to the next ABC Northwest Regional Conference to be held in Washington for 2012!
