Looking for something special to do? On Friday June 3, Cafe Juanita welcomes Steve Darland, owner/producer of Old Monticello Organic Farms from Monticello, New Mexico for a Balsamico Dinner Event in honor of his esteemed and exquisite organic Traditional Aceto Balsamico.
Contact Cafe Juanita for more information. In addition, June 4 is a low-price alternative from 5PM to 8PM at the Crab Cracker in Kirkland.
The list of kudos for Old Monticello balsamico are impressive. Former Gourmet magazine editor Ruth Reichl describes it as “rare and wonderful,” with “deep, concentrated flavors.”
It was recently highlighted in the May 2011 “Italy Issue” of Bon Appetit magazine as one of the “best artisinal Italian pantry staples in the USA.”

Right at the base of the Bellevue Towers sits an unassuming restaurant with a funny name. Here’s how to be completely amazed by LOT No. 3:
Seat yourself. Order a lot of small dishes. Be completely amazed.
Order the Spiced Jar Cake for dessert. When you taste the Spiced Jar Cake, don’t fall off your couch. Yes, you can eat on the couch at LOT No. 3. Amazing.

Pick up a Zagat Seattle Restaurant guide and you’ll find Canlis near the top of all the specialty ratings sections: Food, Decor, Service, and Most Popular.
I have a more personal connection to Canlis: Chris Canlis was my youth soccer coach, and his son, Matt Canlis, was both my soccer teammate and school mate at Medina Elementary, Chinook Middle School, and Bellevue High School.
So grab a Seattle limo, pick a Seattle night, and make a reservation to have a Seattle premier dining experience at Canlis.
Say “Hi!” to Mark Canlis for me; I saw him at an Association of Bridal Consultants’ Regional Convention recently, and he went to school with my sister. Or say “Hi!” to Brian Canlis; he went to school with my brother. It’s a small world here in Seattle.

Do you know what restaurant garners the highest Zagat rating for Top Food in the Seattle book? We do, and so do many of our clients.
The Herbfarm, smack in the middle of Woodinville Wine Country, takes the top spot in this most important category, but also scores ultra-high marks in Decor and Service.
With a nine-course Pacific NW prix fixe menu, the four to five hour experience in this world-class restaurant is not to be missed!

Directly adjacent to Bothell’s Canyon Park, Russell Lowell’s newest restaurant is located just of I-405 in a refurbished 1928 barn. Lowell, best known for his catering company, also runs the Garden Cafe in Woodinville’s posh Molbak’s garden and home store.
Not only can you sit down in the traditional restaurant style at Russell’s Dining & Bar, but the upstairs, known as the Loft, is an amazing 4000 sq ft venue With the roof soaring above your head, the Loft can be transformed into a wonderfully intimate space, and Lowell as all the connections to make it happen for your next event.
A partner in Weddings In Woodinville, Russell’s Dining & Bar proves to be a jewel in the rough, and a definite must see destination.

What three chicks would you want to make fun of your party? How about Three Chicks Catering, Inc.? We’ve been seeing this catering company providing delicious food for quite a few events around the Greater Seattle area, and wanted to spotlight them for you. Not because we’ve been seeing them a lot, but because their food taste and presentation is magnificent!
In addition to fabulous food, they also operate a wonderful and easily customizable venue on S Union Ave, in Tacoma. They call it the Venue on Union. We don’t know why they named it that…but you can always give owner Nems a call and ask her.

I grew up in Bellevue, where our company is based. The recent downtown growth is unprecedented, and our most recent clients decided to start their night off at Pearl, a restaurant and lounge located in the new Lincoln Square that is currently the talk of the town. I actually ended up there on the same night, attending a birthday party.
Here is a link to the most recent article about Pearl, which appeared in the Seattle PI.
Check it out if you’re in Downtown Bellevue. Valet for free right outside the restaurant, but give Rare Form Limousine a call if you need a designated driver!
